A two vehicle accident yesterday in Cumberland County resulted in three injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene at the 8300th block of Highway 127 North near Creston Road where they say a 2002 Chevy Avalanche driven by Chelsa M. Jones of Crossville was unable to stop for traffic while traveling south and turned into the northbound lane of travel. Jones hit an oncoming 2005 Honda Odyssey operated by 46-year-old Jennifer Holderman of Crossville. Holderman and two children in Jones vehicle were all transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment and later released. Troopers say the brakes on Jones’ vehicle were defective. Jones was charged with failure to exercise care, failure to use a seat belt, driving with no insurance and failure to carry a driver’s license.
