WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ISSUED

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY that will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 central time and is set to expire at 9 a.m. central time Monday, January 8, 2018.

The following counties in the listening area are included: Cumberland, Roane, Putnam, Overton, White, Bledsoe, Rhea, Meigs, Loudon, Morgan and Anderson. Light freezing rain is expected.

The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, including during the morning commute Monday. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected. The freezing rain will change over to all rain by late Monday morning as surface temperatures warm above freezing. Use extreme caution if you are traveling during the advisory hours.
