Roane County deputies arrested a Harriman woman after she was spotted in a vehicle reported stolen. Several officers pulled over 56-year-old Denise Coley Strange at the Midtown exit of I-40 after she was first seen passing the Lawnville Road exit. A check of Strange’s drivers license returned as a revoked drivers license and officers learned Strange was wanted for failing to appear in court for a shoplifting charge. Detectives are looking into a vehicle theft charge against Strange who was transported to the Roane County jail.
