BANK DEPOSIT BAG WITH MONEY DISAPPEARS FROM CROSSVILLE BUSINESS

A Crossville business was the scene of a theft Wednesday. According to police, the owner of Gigi’s Boutique was gathering money for a bank deposit when she got busy with customers. According to witnesses, two unknown female customers were standing close to the cash register area alone. One woman appeared to be in her 20’s while the other woman appeared older. Within that time frame, the bag, which contained $2700 in cash and at least one check in the amount of $300, disappeared. The investigation is continuing.
