McDonald’s is planning a big change – going vegan in some restaurants later this year.

The chain will sell a “McVegan” burger in hundred of restaurants starting on December 28, saying the meatless burger will be permanently on the menu in Sweden and Finland.

McDonald’s spokesperson Henrik Nerell says that “like our other burgers, the McVegan is tasty and has a good texture.”

According to the chain, the McVegan is designed to satisfy an increasing number of people looking for food that is plant-based and requires less pollution to produce.
