CUMBERLAND COUNTY COMMISSION HOLDS FINAL MEETING OF 2017

The Cumberland County Commission wrapped up its 2017 year with a short Monday night. The commission recognized the Solid Waste Dept. for earning a reduced waste goal of 71 percent. A van from the Solid Waste Department was also declared surplus and donated to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. A $5000 budget amendment was approved to add to the purchase price of property at the site of the Art Circle Library owned by Norfolk Southern Railroad. $1500 was approved as a donation from the county Elks Lodge for improvements at the Military Memorial Museum, and the commission approved a new position to be established at Emergency Medical Services.
