BREAKING NEWS – The Bradley County Sheriff’s Department says one man is dead following an officer-involved shooting late last night (Saturday, December 16, 2017). Officials say Deputy Corey Loftis and Charleston police officer Jimmy Woody responded to a domestic dispute involving a stabbing on Leyland Drive just before midnight. The victim was transported to the hospital and the suspect fled the scene. Authorities caught up with the suspect on Billingsley Street and a physical altercation took place. Officers say that is when the suspect was shot. The suspect later died from the shooting. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called in to look into the incident.
