STAR WARS “THE LAST JEDI” EXPECTED TO SHATTER WEEKEND BOX-OFFICE RECORDS

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the 8th chapter in the largest movie franchise in history is poised to set some records on its’ opening weekend. Ticket sales for the Thursday night special showing of “Jedi” were tracking at $45 million, the second-biggest special midnight premiere of all time. The previous Star Wars movie, “The Force Awakens” holds the Number 1 spot with a $57 million midnight show in Dec. 2015. Ticket sales on Fandango are tracking at least a record-setting $200 million weekend. What a way to cap the end of a week where Star War’s mother studio Disney acquired 21st Century Fox studios.  The Last Jedi is showing now at The Rocky Top 10 in Crossville.
