THREE FOUND GUILTY OF THE MURDER OF ZAEVION DOBSON

The jury reached guilty verdicts this afternoon (Thursday, December 14, 2017) in the Zaevion Dobson murder trial. The jury made rulings regarding charges against Christopher Drone Bassett, Kipling Deshawn Colbert and Richard Gregory Williams III in connection to the December 17, 2015, death of Dobson. Christopher Bassett was found guilty of unlawful possession, guilty of possession of a deadly weapon, and guilty of first degree murder. Bassett was also found guilty of attempted first degree murder on Zack Dobson. Kipling Colbert was found guilty of facilitation of first degree murder, and guilty of facilitation of the attempted murder. Richard Williams was found guilty of facilitation of first degree murder, and guilty of facilitation of attempted murder, as well as guilty of deploying a firearm during the commission of a deadly felony. The judge set a sentencing date of February 2, 2018 for the three.
