COMMITTEE VOTES TO HIRE SHOAP AS E-911 DISPATCH DIRECTOR

This afternoon (Thursday, December 7, 2017) in a special called meeting, the Central Communications Committee in Cumberland County voted to hire Rodney Shoap as the new Cumberland County E-911 Dispatch Director. Shoap is the former police chief for the Crossville Police Department. The vote is pending Shoap accepting the position. 105.7 News spoke with Shoap by phone just before 5 this afternoon. Shoap said he will accept the position and looks forward to working with a great staff at the E-911 center. “It’s a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to it,” said Shoap.
