AAA Officials say that while October and November saw increases in the price of gasoline, December started off with prices on the decline. They say that fuel prices have fallen some 5 cents within the last three weeks. Prices have been stable this week in the Volunteer State at an average of $2.26 per gallon of unleaded gas. The average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Crossville and Rockwood is $2.19. And while the national average is $2.48, it is still 30 cents higher than it was one year ago at the same time.
