According to the arrest report, an officer was flagged down by a citizen on Main Street stating there was a male subject walking around in the parking lot of Main Street Church of Christ with an object in his hand. The officers found 29-year-old Joshua Dewayne Smith of Crossville walking on Livingston Road behind the church. Smith reportedly saw the officer and kept walking away. Smith then allegedly spun around and walked quickly towards the officer telling them to shoot him. Smith reportedly then threw a Vodka bottle at the officer and walked away.
