On December 9th, 2017, members of the City of Crossville Police Department, Crossville Fire Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will be partnering with the Literacy Council to hold a First Responders Reading Event at the Cumberland County Courthouse Gazebo, from 2:30 p.m. to approximately 3:15 p.m. The event, designed to give children an opportunity to participate in readings from children’s Christmas stories, will be held just prior to the 4:30 p.m. Christmas parade. Parents are encouraged to bring their children by to enjoy this first-time-ever event and have a heart-warming Christmas story sharing experience before heading off to watch the Christmas parade.
