ROANE COUNTY INVESTIGATOR ARRESTED FOR DUI

An investigator with the Roane County Sheriff’s Department found himself being arrested by Knox County authorities this past Friday night (November 17, 2017). According to the arrest report from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, numerous calls were made to 911 in Knox County regarding a black SUV driving east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Watts Road. Several officers were able to stop 43-year-old Greg Scalf who reportedly failed a field sobriety test. Scalf was charged with driving under the influence. According to Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton, Scalf is under administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the case.

      Why “with pay”. That is Roane County taxpayer money you are paying with. Pay should stop the evening he decided to drink or take medicine which diminished his ability to drive. Stop paying folks for their misdeeds.

    I don’t understand how hes still being PAID!!! I mean come on! He should be treated as a criminal just like anybody else would in the same situation! Guilty until proven innocent!!! That’s how the justice system works and he shouldn’t be any different. I mean it’s obvious he’s at fault, he was driving down the wrong side of the interstate for Christ Sake. I don’t have to be a genius to figure out that he was clearly under the influence of something! This is just a prime example of just how bad our Judicial System is F***** up! #UNFAIR #PUNISH HIM
