TENNESSEE PROMISE MENTORS STILL NEEDED IN UPPER CUMBERLAND AREA

The Upper Cumberland area needs a total of 496 Tennessee Promise mentors to sign up before the December 1st deadline. 339-people have applied so far, which is about 68-percent of the goal or 157-people who still need to apply. 20 mentors are still needed in Cumberland County, 8 are needed in Fentress, 18 in Overton and 20 in Putnam County. Tennessee Promise mentors help high school students navigate the college admission process and ensure that students complete the Tennessee Promise Program requirements in order to receive the scholarship.
