Crossville police are investigating three back to back incidents where an unknown person walked out of Walmart on North Main Street with several car batteries. According to the report, police responded there earlier this week where an unknown male got a buggy from the front entrance, went to the automotive section and placed six Maxx Ever Start batteries and a 5 quart jug of Castrol oil in the buggy then walked out of the front entrance without paying. The man put the items in a 2005 gray Nissan Quest and left the area. The suspect struck again the next day taking another 6 batteries and another jug of oil. The suspect then really pushed his luck a third consecutive day in making off with four car batteries and another 5 quart jog of Castrol oil. Video of the incidents was documented and outside surveillance captured the plate of the suspects vehicle when he fled the scene. Charges are pending in the case. Total loss of the batteries and oil was placed at nearly $1800.
