TWO ARRESTED IN CHURCH BURGLARY, ITEMS RECOVERED

Two men are facing charges in Bledsoe County following a church burglary. Officers responded to a reported break-in next to Christian House of Prayer Church in Pikeville. Deputies from the sheriff department and officers from Pikeville Police Department responded. As they approached the home, a Caucasian male jumped out of a window and began to flee on foot. Two officers gave chase catching the suspect a short distance from home. A second Caucasian male exited the home without incident. Both males were taken into custody. Their names were not immediately released by law enforcement. Afterwards, an officer conducted an interview which lead to the search of a home on South Gate Lane where most of the items taken from the church was recovered with the assistance of the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department.
