ACCIDENT ON HWY 127 LEAVES THREE INJURED

A two vehicle accident in southern Cumberland County this afternoon (Tuesday, October 24, 2017) resulted in three injuries. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 89-year-old Robert Foster of Pikeville, Tennessee crossed over the centerline and side swiped an oncoming 2009 Dodge pickup operated by 81-year-old Martha Clayborn of Pikeville at the 8400th block of Highway 127 South. Both drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles, 84-year-old Chester Clayborn of Pikeville, were all transported to Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville for treatment of injuries sustained. Troopers say all three were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
