A 9-year-old Crossville, Tennessee young man who recently sent President Donald Trump $3 received a blessing in return. Eli’sha Davies sent the money to President Trump to make sure he had enough to pay the bills at the White House after hearing that Trump would only accept a salary of $1 as president. President Trump sent a letter of thanks to Davies with a picture of him and the $3 back instructing him to put it to good use where he lives. The story quickly spread and caught the eye of John Wildeman, president of the Young Musicians Education Foundation. Wildeman found out that Davies has been wanting to learn to play the mandolin and sent Davies a brand new mandolin of his own so he could learn and practice. The gift was added to by Guitar Center in West Knoxville that sent Davies picks, strings, a tuner and a chord chart to go with his new mandolin. Story courtesy of WBIR
