The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will be partnering with Bethlehem Baptist Church on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 626 Potato Farm Road. This class is to provide civilian response to an active shooter training. The training will give civilians some background on active shooter/killer events and the lessons learned over the last twenty years. It also has some survivor testimonies and actual audio from Columbine High School. During the class, we teach several different common sense response options other than a lock down only approach. We also have some scenarios that we let class members participate in if they choose. The class will last about two hours. It is informal and we will allow questions as we cover the material. We have had a very positive response from previous class members. If you cannot attend this class, please call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (931) 484-6176 and ask to speak with Inv. Bo Kollros or Chief Bill Ashley to schedule a class for your organization or business.
