Two individuals from Crossville are facing drug charges. According to the arrest report, an officer was patrolling around 2 a.m. yesterday (Thursday, Octover 12, 2017) and saw a vehicle in the Dollar General Market parking lot at the drink machine. Because of vending machines being broken into recently in the city, the officer stopped to investigate. Authorities came upon the driver, 33-year-old Tabitha Nicole Patton of Crossville, standing outside the vehicle. Officers allegedly noted an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and ordered the passenger, 25-year-old Jeremy Whittenburg of Crossville, out of the vehicle. A search revealed a back pack with a container inside allegedly containing meth. A check of a purse allegedly produced marijuana. Both Patton and Whittenburg were arrested and transported to the Cumberland County jail.
