CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETS

At the Crossville City Council meeting this week, members recognized Thomas Smith as the firefighter of the quarter. Mayor Mayberry also brought the Student of the Month award to Martin Elementary to present to William “Garrett” Graham who was unable to attend the meeting. The council appointed Jim Petty and Glenn McDonald to the Shooting Park Board of Directors and approved several consent agenda ordinances. The council approved the purchase of 96 water meters for Catoosa department. A new pump and line installation for Homestead Tower was also approved by the city council with reimburstment coming from the county. The council also gave approval for a cost not to exceed $10,000 to prepare a gravel area to handle tour buses and extra parking during peak show times at the Cumberland County Playhouse as well as a permanent water tap to their water feature on Tennessee Avenue.
