Water customers of the West Cumberland Utility District may benefit from a decision this week by the Crossville City Council. The utility approached the city recently about selling them water to provide for their customers before negotiating with Bondecroft Utility District. The water that the City of Crossville will now provide West Cumberland Utility District will be at a rate of $3.88 per 1,000 gallons. The decision by the city council could result in a decrease in the bills West Cumberland Utility District customers are paying. Two years ago, the utility increased their rates and that was met with decreased revenues.
