MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY ATTACKING PERSON WITH HATCHET

One man is facing a charge after an alleged physical incident involving a hatchet. According to the arrest report by the Crossville Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle driven by the male victim on Ivy Avenue before dawn yesterday morning (Sunday, September 17, 2017). Police learned that 18-year-old Jacob Ryan Edmonds of Crossville and the victim got into a physical altercation at a Brenda Lane apartment. Edmonds reportedly got out of a pickup truck at the scene with a hatchet. The victim eventually was able to get into his vehicle and leave but not after sustaining injuries to his upper right arm. The victim was treated at Cumberland Medical Center and received stitches for his wounds. Edmonds was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
