HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED THREAT

A threat posted to social media by a Cookeville High School student led to their arrest by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department this morning (Monday, September 18, 2017). School administrators would only say the student charged is an upperclassman a at Cookeville High School. Students reportedly saw the threat on social media and informed law enforcement and the school who both took immediate action. No other information was released by law enforcement.
