No major changes in our forecast. Partly cloudy and rather warm through Tuesday with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower. Afternoon highs in the low to mid-80s. We are in the final days of summer as Autumn begins on Friday at 3:02 p.m. Here is an interesting fact for you, on the first day of autumn the sun will rise directly in the east and set precisely in the West. So if you are not exactly sure about your directions from your home just watch the sun on Friday and it works as well as a compass. We may see the chance of thunder showers increase a little around mid-to-late week to about 40%. Hurricane Maria looks like it will intensify to a category 4 and hit the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in a few days but our longer-range models indicate it turning more to the north and stay in to the east of Florida. Of course it is still a long way out and things could change so stay tuned.
