A Roane County man was arrested yesterday (Wednesday, September 6, 2017) after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman. Officers were dispatched to a Five Mile Road home for a physical disturbance. They discovered a 8 ½ month pregnant woman walking at the intersection of Five Mile and Kingston Highway. The woman was with her young daughter and niece. She told officers that she had been at the home where an argument had broken out between a woman and 40-year-old Jason Green of Kingston. Officers found that Green had broken furniture, along with grabbing the victim by the neck. The pregnant woman allegedly came to the other woman’s aid, and according to the report, Green allegedly shoved her against a door while also grabbing her by the neck. Officers say both women had marks on their necks. Green was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
