Officials said the body of a 30-year-old man from Michigan was recovered yesterday (Saturday, September 2, 2017) in Cherokee Lake. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said rescue personnel discovered the body of Andrew Ehrman of Plymouth, Michigan, in the lake near Bean Station, Tennessee. Officers say Ehrman and some friends were swimming in the lake Friday evening when high winds made conditions unsafe. The group swam back to a pontoon boat but Ehrman went underwater before he made it and never resurfaced. No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
