MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES

Rockwood police responded to a report of a Fentress County man passed out in a vehicle parked at a residence on North Wilder Avenue. Officers not only found 20-year-old Peyton Jenkins of Clarkrange in the vehicle but allegedly observed a sawed off shotgun. Jenkins was removed from the vehicle and it was searched as well. He was allegedly found to be in possession of drugs including marijuana and oxycodone. Jenkins was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for resale, possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony and possession of a prohibited weapon.
