A Putnam County, Tennessee man sustained injuries last night (Thursday, August 17, 2017) when a truck hit a bicycle he was riding on. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 70 East just outside of Monterey where a 2010 Ford F-150 hit a bicycle occupied by 55-year-old Larry Allan Selby. He was transported by way of a medical helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment of injuries. Troopers say Selby was not wearing a helmet and the bicycle had no reflective lights or decals for a driver to see it in the dark. No charges were filed in connection with the accident.
