HEAD ON VEHICLE ACCIDENT INJURES TWO

A two vehicle accident this morning (Wednesday, August 16, 2017) in Putnam County resulted in one person being flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chevy Equinox driven by 33-year-old Michelle Cothron-Freeman of Red Boiling Springs entered Highway 111 traveling south in the northbound lanes. Freeman then hit an approaching 2002 Buick Le Sabre driven by San Juana Young of Sparta head on. Young was transported by air to Vanderbilt while Cothron-Freeman was taken to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained.
