A two vehicle accident in northern Cumberland County over this past weekend (Sunday, August 13, 2017) resulted in four injuries. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report released today (Wednesday, August 15, 2017), a 2002 Lexus driven by 53-year-old Dorothy Barnes of Crossville was traveling west on Carson Road and attempted to turn onto Highway 127 when she pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by 19-year-old Bailey Kearney of Crossville. Barnes and a passenger in her vehicle, 61-year-old Jacquelyn Whittenburg of Jamestown, were both flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga for treatment of injuries. Kearney, and her passenger, 20-year-old Ana Rodas of Nashville, were both taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville for treatment of injuries sustained.
