SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN ROCKWOOD KNOCKS OUT POWER TO 350 CUSTOMERS

A Single vehicle accident in Rockwood Thursday morning resulted in some 350 residents losing power. A vehicle slammed into a utility pole in the 1400 block of Eureka Road around 6 AM. A 3-phase line was knocked down in the wreck and Rockwood Electric Utility along with AT&T and Comcast crews were all dispatched to restore power and service. Power was restored around 10:20 AM and other crews are still working at the scene. Eureka Road near the Baptist Church remains closed until work is finished. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is working on the preliminary investigation. According to sources, the driver suffered minor injuries.
