A man has been charged with murder in connection to a deadly crash in Kentucky that took place in November 2016. Deputies arrested 34-year-old Eric Cassidy on Friday (July 14, 2017) following an investigation into a crash on Kentucky 229 that killed a woman. Deputies say Cassidy was driving under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash, killing Sherry King of Barbourville. On May 25th, 2017 a Grand Jury issued a warrant charging Cassidy with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs 2nd offense-aggravating circumstance, and 2nd degree persistent felony offender. Deputies apprehended Cassidy on Friday after the United States Marshals Service received a tip on his location.
