TWO ACCIDENTS IN ROANE COUNTY RESULTS IN INJURIES

Two different accidents in Roane County yesterday (Wednesday, July 5, 2017) resulted in three being injured. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2013 Kenworth dump truck driven by 46-year-old Joseph Morrison of Dayton, Tennessee was traveling south on Highway 58 when he went off the right side of the road, came back across the road and turned over on its left side. Morrison was treated for injuries sustained in the wreck. Officers also responded to a two vehicle accident on Airport Road. Authorities say a Volkswagen driven by a 16-year-old lost control near a curve and struck an oncoming Chevy pickup driven by 53-year-old Barry Kober of Harriman. Kober and a 15-year-old passenger in his vehicle were both injured in the accident. The juvenile driver of the Volkswagen was cited for failure to exercise due care.
