A multi-vehicle accident on Highway 70 North in Cumberland County last night (Monday, June 26, 2017) resulted in two injuries. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2006 Mercury driven by 24-year-old Cody James Collins of Edgewater, Florida attempted to cross the highway from Pomona Road over to West Creston Road when he pulled out into the path of a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by 19-year-old Paul Otto of Crossville. Another vehicle, a 1988 Suzuki Trooper driven by 47-year-old Keith Martin of Crossville, then collided with one of the vehicles involved. Troopers say Collins was transported by ambulance to a landing zone at the Crossville Speedway where Lifestar airlifted him to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of injuries. A passenger in Collins vehicle was taken to Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville for treatment of minor injuries.
