Comments are Off

A couple in Soddy Daisy have been charged with aggravated child neglect after authorities discovered the family living in squalid conditions. An investigation into animal hoarding led officers to find nearly a dozen dead pets stuck inside a freezer. Two dogs, a cat, a rabbit, a turtle and five parakeets were uncovered in the appliance. Other live animals were also collected. Most were suffering from neglect. Amidst the trash, officers found three boys, one 5 and two 2-year-old twins. One child was found locked in a bedroom. The Dept. of Children’s Services took custody of the three children while the parents, Dustin and Staci Tallent were taken into custody.
