COMCAST REPRESENTATIVE HEARS COMPLAINTS FROM HARRIMAN CUSTOMERS

A representative from Comcast attended the Harriman city council work session last night (Tuesday, June 20, 2017) to answer questions in regard to the franchise agreement with the city. Harriman Vice Mayor Lonnie Wright, who has been outspoken of the poor service from the cable provider, addressed several questions to Katy Brown with Comcast in regard to what he has seen and heard from the community about poor service from the company. Wright was joined by several people in attendance who commented on their personal experiences with the company. Brown stated she was concerned about the complaints heard and would pass along the remarks to the appropriate personnel with Comcast.

The meeting should have been open to Roane County, not just Harriman. I live in Kingston and our service goes out, is interrupted and we have complaints too. In addition, when you call for help, you get a person who doesn’t even speak or understand English and when you are already stressed because of your $200.00 per month cable bill, this will make you even more upset. I had a representative come to my home. He couldn’t fix it , do he called his supervisor who practically called me a liar. If I thought any of the others would be any different, I would change my service in a heartbeat.
