A Crossville woman is facing charges following an incident involving a child. According to the arrest report from the Crossville Police Department, officers were called to a Baker Lane home last night (Wednesday, June 14, 2017) to an alleged domestic assault that took place at a Marinatha Lane residence. Police spoke to an 11-year-old victim who stated that 45-year-old Brandy Story of Crossville allegedly grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face several times. The child ran out of the home for help. Dried blood was noted by officers on the victim’s face, hair and shirt sleeves. According to the report, Story told officers “to the best of her knowledge she did not hit the child.” Story was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and child abuse. Story was transported to the Cumberland County jail.
