A classic comic book hero brought to life sailed to record-setting heights over the weekend as Wonder Woman debuted on theater screens around the world. The movie starring Gal Gadot as the Amazon princess and Chris Pine took in $100.5 million domestically. The amount sets a record for a movie by a female director, Patty Jenkins. The movie also amassed some $123.5 million over-seas for a grand total of $124 million world-wide. Wonder Woman is a DC Comics motion picture. Gadot is also set to revisit the role in the Justice League movie which will premiere in November 2017.
