ALGOOD POLICE OFFICER INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT IN SMITHVILLE

An Algood police officer is alright after he was involved in a wreck in Smithville Monday night. According to reports, Officer Christopher Ferguson was coming home from training in Murfreesboro when another driver failed to yield the right-of-way on Braun Street in front of Tractor Supply. Officer Ferguson crashed into a Chevy Blazer that overturned ejecting the driver who was identified as 69-year-old James Cryer of Dowelltown. Cryer was taken to Erlanger Medical Center for unknown injuries.
