A Scott County physician who is also a member of the county commission has been charged after he allegedly fired a gun in a campground at Pigeon Forge. Trent Wade Cross, a doctor of internal medicine in Oneida, was at the River Edge Campground with his wife when the two began to quarrel. She ran to a nearby camper and witnesses say that after Cross attempts to pry open the locked door failed, he fired several rounds into the air. He has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism and resisting arrest.
