“OPERATION SPRING FORWARD” NETS 23 SUSPECTS IN CAMPBELL COUNTY DRUG ROUNDUP

On Wednesday, deputies from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and officers from several other departments began to round up suspected drug dealers from across the region. “Operation Spring Forward” was described as a year-long undercover narcotics investigation Sheriff’s Office and the 8th Judicial District Drug Task Force. Early Wednesday morning, Campbell County deputies were joined by agents from the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), state troopers, and officers from the police departments in Caryville, Jacksboro, Jellico and LaFollette in spreading out across the county and making arrests. As of the last update, 23 people had been taken into custody, most charged with drug-related offenses, although other warrants were also served during the round-up, which will continue until all of the suspects are in custody.
