Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton is seeking the public’s help in discovering the identity of a person found dead in a fire near Rockwood Thursday morning. Crews were called to 1137 Mountain View Rd. around 3 AM where a double-wide mobile home was burning intensely. The remains were discovered near a set of stairs outside of the home. It has been determined to be a male, but as of Friday evening no identification had been established. Sheriff Stockton has said that he believes that foul play is not involved in the case. The TBI and Bomb and Arson Squad are also continuing their investigations.
