KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office confirmed 35-year-old Christi Ann Hampson’s body was found Tuesday afternoon along the bank of the Tennessee River near Thompson Boling Arena.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agents found the body around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Hampson was reported missing after she was last seen on Feb. 21 at her home on Greylock Way in West Knox County.

TWRA had been assisting the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit in searching for Hampson since the discovery of her vehicle in the O.P. Jenkins parking lot on Feb. 28.

The Sheriff’s Office said no signs of foul play had been found. The Knox County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
