UT Campus Police are being tight-lipped about an alleged rape that was reported over the weekend. The female student says the incident occurred in Morrill Hall Saturday morning by a male subject who was unknown to her. UT Police could not divulge any further information on the rape, only that an investigation is underway but they have suggested that all students should take self-defense classes. New University Chancellor Beverly Davenport has made it known that she will not stand for such illegal activities under her administration. This is the fifth reported rape that has taken place on campus since last fall.
