FOUNDER OF PHILLIP’S JEWELRY IN CROSSVILLE PASSES

A longtime Crossville business woman has passed away. 92-year-old Ruth Mamie Phillips, worked in the jewelry business for more than 60 years along with her husband R. T Phillips. In 1953, Mrs. Phillips and R.T.  opened Phillip’s Jewelry store on Main Street in Crossville with her sons becoming co-owners and operators. Ruth Phillips is survived by her sons Larry Phillips of Maryville, TN, Harry Phillips of Crossville, TN and Jerry Phillips and his wife Lisa also of Crossville. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 9, at 7 PM from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside Committal services will be held Friday at 9 AM at Crossville City Cemetery.
