More details are emerging concerning the case where a Jackson County man is accused of killing a Sparta woman whose body was found in Cumberland County. The Herald Citizen is reporting that 13th Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway says that it appears that 41-year-old Donna Roam died as the result of a gunshot wound. D.A. Bryant, who is working in conjunction with 15th Judicial D.A. Tommy Thompson, said that investigators have determined that Roam was killed in Jackson County. Her body was then transported to western Cumberland County and dumped on a logging road located about two miles from her home. 57-year-old Bobby Dale Haney has been identified and indicted as the main suspect in the homicide. Authorities are saying that Haney and the deceased knew each other and may have had a relationship. The investigation is continuing.
