Crossville Police are asking your help in finding a thief. On Saturday, Jan. 7th, a male subject entered the Elite Exxon on Peavine Rd. The subject had shaggy, dirty-blonde hair and a reddish beard, and was wearing a dark “Superman” logo hoodie and had an orange key lanyard around his neck. The subject waited for the cashier to finish with other customers and told her the bathroom needed attention. When the cashier was close to the bathroom the subject ran to the lottery ticket area behind the counter and stole an undetermined amount of scratch off tickets. The suspect then exited the store with the tickets and got into the passenger seat of a newer model silver Toyota Celica. Investigations revealed that one of the tickets was redeemed in the Cookeville area. If you know who this subject is or have any information on this crime please call Crossville Cumberland County Crime Stoppers Tip Hotline at 931-200-1173 or contact Det. Donnie Hammons with the Crossville Police Department at 931-484-7231.
