A Monterey man has reported to police that his debit account has been fraudulently used at several Crossville businesses. The Suntrust Card was first used on Dec. 12 at the McDonald’s on Main St. in the amount of $205. Employees stated that the card was used in the drive thru by a black man with dreadlocks who was driving a silver vehicle with another black male as a passenger. The card was used by the same two suspects at the Main St. Dairy Queen on Dec. 15 in the amount of $207. Later that day, a purchase of $229 was also made at the Main St. Long John Silvers and a purchase was made for $211 down the street at Subway. The investigation is ongoing.
